This week, the O'Steen Volvo Cars of Jacksonville team sponsored and participated in the annual Folds of Honor golf tournament. Held at the scenic Atlantic Beach Country Club, a gorgeous green just three blocks from the ocean, the game brought golfers from all across North Florida together for a day of fun and fundraising – including four members of the O'Steen Volvo Cars staff!
To show our commitment to the community and our deep appreciation for the Folds of Honor golf tournament, O'Steen Volvo Cars of Jacksonville also provided the event's coveted hole-in-one prize: a new Volvo XC90! This three-row Volvo SUV was recently named our Car of the Week, and we were proud to give its elegant design and mild hybrid performance to the winning golfer.

What Is Folds of Honor?
The O'Steen Volvo Cars of Jacksonville team feels a real kinship with Folds of Honor because we both care deeply about positively impacting our communities. Folds of Honor is a nonprofit organization that helps the families of fallen first responders and military members pursue their educational dreams.
Founded by Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney, the Folds of Honor golf tournament reflects Rooney's history as a Class A Member of the PGA of America. With local chapters all across the United States, including two locations in Florida, Folds of Honor's mission is to award life-changing scholarships to the families of America's fallen heroes – which is why O'Steen Volvo Cars of Jacksonville jumped at the chance to be one of this year's local sponsors.
Folds of Honor Scholarships
Since 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded more than 52,000 educational scholarships, with 45% of all scholarships benefitting minority recipients. As individuals and companies gathered together this past Monday at the Folds of Honor golf tournament in Atlantic Beach, the O'Steen Volvo Cars of Jacksonville staff had an incredible time chatting, laughing, and playing the green with the other tournament participants.
The best part of the day, however, was knowing that a stunning 91% of the funds raised would go directly to scholarship awards for the families of military personnel and first responders. We are truly humbled and honored to have been a part of such a remarkable event.
